Project Partners
Projects | Boys & Girls Towns | Education | Community Projects | Boys Town Thailand | Madurai Sevashram Girls Home

The Joe Homan Charity works with local Non-Governmental Organisations who are helping children out of poverty. We are also working in partnership with these NGO's to find practical solutions to help improve the quality of life for families and communities that are home for these youngsters. We are grateful to them all for their hard work and dedication.

Boys Town Society (BTS)
BTS is a registered Indian charity based in Tirumangalam. Originally founded by Joe Homan, who is their President, it has a Management Committee and a general body of membership of qualified and committed persons.

Celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2005, BTS has been our major long-term partner in caring for the children of South India. While their prime concern has always been the successful running of the Boys and Girls Towns and Children’s Villages, their work continues to develop and this NGO also administers Education for Life, Joyful Learning, and Home Sponsorship projects.

Inba Seva Sangam (ISS)
Inba Seva Sangam was originally founded by a Belgian lady, in 1965,to help children in education and welfare. It is situated some 50km from our India Office. The Girls’ Town is only a part of the work of ISS; they also implement various welfare schemes and projects to improve the quality of life of families in the Kadavor valley. We also fund Balwadi’s run by ISS.

Centre for Education, Development Action & Research (CEDAR)
CEDAR was established in December 1994 by a group of professionals having considerable experience in the development field, to support emerging NGO’s in the region and enhance their efficiency and effectiveness.

They identified the need to strengthen their support by working in the community focussed on issues relating to Child Labour and Women’s development. Currently we are assisting CEDAR with pre-school and supplementary education in very poor villages in the match industry area of Kovilpatti in Tamilnadu.

Palni Hills Conservation Council (PHCC)
PHCC was formed in 1985 as an organization devoted to promoting sustainable development. The core group consists of ecologists, environmentalists, botanists, wildlife enthusiasts and proponents of sustainable development with sixty supporting staff ranging from beekeepers to water chemists.

Society for Poor People's Development  (SPPD)
SPPD is a leading registered community developmental organisation, established in 1995. Working in some deprived parts of Tiruchirapalli District. Their primary focus is on economic development and social awareness for women and educational assistance for the children. Currently we are assisting SPPD with Supplementary Education Centres in rural villages.

PASAM Trust
Run under the guidance of Dr Mascarenhas, an eye specialist and a very dedicated man, this small hospital and mobile clinic care for people living in remote villages with no doctors or access to medical facilities.

Rotary Youth Development Association of Khon Kaen (Thailand)
Organised on similar lines as BTS India, with a small Management Committee, the Town offers the opportunity of an education and hope to some of the many under privileged children in this region of Thailand. The Charity has been assisting this Boys Town project since 1996.
