Chris Dobson has been given the London Marathon charity ballot place allocated to JHC.
His hard work has now started – preparing to run over 26 miles alongside more than 50,000 other runners in April. So early morning 5 or 10 mile runs have now started, building up to his long run each weekend.
The Virgin Money London Marathon is the largest annual fundraising event on the planet – runners have raised over £891 million for good causes since the race began in 1981. The course follows an iconic route taking in many of London’s landmarks, from the Cutty Sark and the City to St James’ Park and The Mall.
Chris is raising funds to support the children we care for South India and Thailand. These youngsters come from very poor and often ‘broken’ families; each one does receive quality care and education once they are within our welfare.
Chris will putting in many miles for JHC; lets us hope that will be ‘Miles O’ Smiles’.
You can help these children by supporting Chris with his marathon this year.
