50 years ago Joe Homan was working to beg and borrow land and money for his first Boys Town in India, now we are celebrating our Golden Jubilee in 2015 with events taking place both in India and the UK.
BTS held their Golden Jubilee Celebrations and Pongal Festival on 15th and 16th January. This was a wonderful festival when hundreds of adults and children enjoyed visits to local projects, a variety of exhibitions by the youngsters, a fancy dress parade, many sporting activities and exciting Cultural show.
This culminated in the opening of the Joe Homan ‘Journey of Love’ museum. An exhibition of memorable events and development of BTS through Joe’s love and dedication. Throughout this festival many people honoured Joe by word and gift.
JHC wishes to use this Golden Jubilee year to raise the profile of the work we do for these needy children, thanking those who have supported our work for many years and to introduce new supporters to our work.
